The East Troy Robotics Engineering Club will compete at the FIRST Tech Challenge Wisconsin State Championship Feb. 3-4, following a top finish at the Hortonville regional competition.
The state competition, held at UW-Milwaukee, showcases the best in student robotics.
The eTREC team FTC Team #6977, with representatives from East Troy High School and East Troy Middle School, will be responsible for designing, building and programming its robot to compete in an alliance format against other teams.
“The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Technology Challenge is designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model,” according to the event website. “Through their involvement with FTC, students discover the rewards of collaboration and develop a deeper understanding of innovation and engineering.”
